My submission for the a Transformers themed exhibition called 'More Than Meets the Eye' hosted by the Blind Tiger Collective this evening in Dublin. It's a watercolour (it was about time I used them again), roughly A4 in size. I wanted to do my own take on Transformers, Friz the fook outta them. My fav toy in the range was the cassette tape panther called Ravage who was paired up with Soundwave. I didn't have the toys growing up but I did have a lovely neighbour who was a good boy and let me play with his. So, inspired by Art Deco style ladies walking dog images and sculptures, this is what I came up with. Colours are a bit more vibrant in person, photo washes them out a bit.

-Transformers, 2nd grade.- I brought mine to a new school. This kid that sat next to me had "Ravage". I thought it looked hella neat, all black and gray. He said he actually wanted mine "Laserbeak" but his parents got him Ravage. We were like cool, "Can I borrow yours for like a week or two?" We traded different Transformers that year and became really good friends.(He had Megatron and Soundwave too, the spoiled guy.) Ravage made me think of that simple time of Transformers and Girls w/Cabbage Patch's. No stupid fucking drama then. Cool beans.
